3 Tips To FInd A Wedding Videographer

This this quick article, we are going to cover a few ways you can track down a wedding videographer for your big day!

This goes for every other type of vendor as well, but considering that I’m a wedding videographer, I’m writing from that perspective.

Now, just like everything else, this is going to take some work. You can look at someones work, but it’s also important to connect and speak with them. After all, this person is responsible for capturing one of the most important days of your life!

I have a few recommendations on how to find a wedding videographer:

WEDDING VENDOR FACEBOOK PAGES

The first one I will recommend, as it’s been the most helpful for me, is Facebook. I’m not a huge fan of Facebook generally, but Facebook groups can be packed with a ton of information. How that relates to weddings? Well, there are countless numbers of Facebook pages that are dedicated to wedding vendors, and those planning weddings. As an Oregon wedding videographer, I joined many PNW, Oregon, and city specific wedding Facebook groups. When I see someone on the hunt for a videographer, I comment my availability and website on there!

As someone planning a wedding, the admins usually have a few similar rules. The first being your budget, second being your location, and third being the date of your wedding.

If you’re on the hunt for a wedding videographer, this is honestly a fantastic place to start.

USING HASHTAGS!

The second option I recommend would be going to Instagram! Remember hashtags? Yup, we’re going to utilize them here! Go to your search and type #oregonweddingvideographer or #washingtonweddingvideographer, or whatever location applies to you. I guarantee you’ll see a number of posts come up. Start looking through the content shown!

What looks good to you? Check out their profile, see what else they’ve done! If you like what you see, send them a DM and ask if they’re available for a wedding on a certain date and location.

You might have to go through a few different profiles, but this is another fantastic option.

GOOGLE “WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER”

My third option is using Google. This one is self explanatory.

Go to Google, type in “oregon wedding videographer,” or “portland wedding videographer,” and boom, results. There are many resources available such as TheKnot, WeddingWire, or Thumbtack to help you track down someone. BUT, this will also help you find a wedding videographers direct website where you can reach out to them and check out their work!

These are my favorite options to hunt down a wedding videographer, or most vendors honestly. What other ways have you found to be the most helpful?
